This section outlines the key expectations and guidelines for how we interact in-game to maintain a smooth, collaborative, and immersive experience. It covers everything from formatting and communication to player conduct, consequences for actions, and how to engage with the world and fellow players. Please read carefully to ensure everyone’s participation is enjoyable and fair!
Respect is the foundation of this roleplay space. Harassment, bullying, and toxic behavior will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Players should engage in a positive and supportive manner, ensuring that everyone feels comfortable and safe within the roleplay environment.
Mon-Friday, roughly 1000-2200 CST (GM time). Weekend responses not required, but encouraged as the GM wants you to enjoy your weekends.
If a player fails to respond within 72 hours of a ping, their character will be auto-piloted by the GM for the rest of the mission or scene. Consistent delays without prior notice disrupt the game’s flow and can cause frustration for more engaged players, as they are left waiting for responses. If a player needs to be absent, they are encouraged to notify the GM in advance via the AFK channel (e.g., “I’ll be unavailable from Monday to Thursday”), ensuring that no punitive actions will be taken during that period.
Players are encouraged to ask clarifying questions about any situation that arises during gameplay. The GM can be contacted directly through the "GM-Talk" section of character sheets for secret actions. The “ooc-general” channel is available for out-of-character game questions, but lengthy rule debates should be avoided during active scenes.
While players are encouraged to contribute to the world, their input is generally limited to low-power characters or minor events in history. Backstories with named characters, places, or events are welcome, and players are encouraged to work with the GM to ensure the world remains cohesive.
All in-character (IC) posts must be made using Tupperbox, a bot that allows players to post as their characters instead of their personal Discord accounts. This ensures a clear distinction between IC and out-of-character (OOC) discussions. IC posts should follow the game’s format and tone, while OOC posts should remain in designated channels or use appropriate markers.
Roleplay encounters (non-combat) are discussion-based, with no turns or set order. Actions should be written in the third person, and players shouldn’t share internal thoughts unless spoken aloud. Quotes should be used around spoken dialogue.
If a character speaks a foreign language, format it like this:
[Language]||"Message the character says."||
